THE GOLDEN DAWN

THE GOLDEN DAWN

Well Spring is short

and Winter long,

the Poet’s scarce begun his song

before it’s over.

But you and I have seen

the Golden Dawn and it was..

BEAUTIFUL!

And while it sometimes seems as though

our lives are borne between the banal

and the merely bad.

Still,

this old man is glad

he lived through one more Long Dark Night

to see the dawn again with you.

And it was beautiful.

And while it sometimes seems as though

our lives are drawn between the dreadful

and the grateful dead.

And Love itself lies pale and cold

upon the bed,

as though a corpse by vampires bled.

Still..

Hear what I say,

Live, Love and Play!

Yes, Laugh and Dance my pretty things!

For this is Truth the Poet sings;

That all’s not lost indeed,

before it’s over.
